The CEREC Method

Visit 1

Local anaesthetic is given

The tooth is prepared

The tooth is digitally scanned

        CAD technology aids custom crown design

            Crowns are milled from a block of high grade porcelain

15 MINUTES LATER

Permanent crowns are fitted

NO Visit 2

 

 

The Traditional Method

Visit 1

Local anaesthetic is given

The tooth is prepared

Impressions are taken

Temporary crowns are fitted

Work is sent to a dental lab

Casts are made

The crown is built in stages by hand

2 WEEKS LATER

Visit 2

Local anaesthetic is given

Temporary crowns are removed

Permanent crowns are tried, adjusted and fitted
